AHRC Translating Cultures Workshop
Concepts, Theories, Methods
Date: Thursday 27 June 2013
Time: 11am-5pm
Venue: Room 349, Institute of Germanic and Romance Studies, School of Advanced Study, University of London, Senate House, Malet Street, London, WC1E 7HU
Directions to venue: http://www.igrs.sas.ac.uk/node/46
Organizer: Charles Forsdick, AHRC Theme Leadership Fellow, Translating Cultures
Numbers will be limited, and advance registration of participants other than speakers will be required by Friday 14 June at the latest. Please contact Charles Forsdick (craf@liv.ac.uk).
The aim of the workshop is to provide a forum for a number of researchers who have received support from the AHRC under the ‘Translating Cultures’ highlight call to reflect on the contribution of their projects (Research Development Awards, Fellowships, Networking Awards) to the growth of the theme, and also to engage in wider discussion about the evolution of Translating Cultures. There is a particular interest in exploring, through consideration of these specific projects, the definitional, conceptual, theoretical and methodological issues that the Translating Cultures theme has generated thus far, as well the theme’s current shape, scope and scale.
